Northern Rivers locals Bernie and Janette Hauville are the owner operators of IGA Liquor, Video Ezy and Bernie’s Bakery and have lived and raised their family in the region. Bernie Hauville, son of local retail pioneer Bunny Hauville and his adoring wife Dorothy, has been a local business owner since 1979. Along with his wife Janette Hauville, originally of Kyogle, the pair have earned a reputation in the community as honest and proud business owners.

Bernie’s Bakery was first established as the Village Bakery by the late Neville Roberts and his wife Helen. The couple developed a reputation for quality breads, cakes and pastries and in 2004 the premises became Bernie’s Bakery. Since then, Tracey and the team of bakers, Chris, Brad, Brendan and Tony have built on the bakeries reputation of producing quality products to continue to be a favourite with the locals.

On top of their great service and delicious baked goods, Bernie’s Bakery also offers a free cake photo imaging service to make you special occasion that little bit sweeter.

Right next door to Bernie’s Bakery is IGA Liquor. We’re open 7 days a week from 6am to 9pm and sell alcohol from 7am to 9pm. We are a one stop shop with the convenience of weekly specials and an ATM as well as market day on the last Friday of every month. We also offer a unique return policy if you’re not sure how much alcohol you will need to entertain guests at your next function. We give you the option to return any unopened alcohol for a refund (conditions apply, see in store for details).
